HR Coordinator
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth human resources operations, supporting employees and management, and maintaining compliance with labor laws. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in HR administration. Responsibilities: • Handle daily employee inquiries regarding pay, attendance, and policies, directing complex questions to appropriate teams. • Manage administrative tasks related to the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, personnel changes, and offboarding processes. • Prepare and deliver reports and data to support business partners and HR management. • Ensure timely completion of onboarding tasks such as offer letters, background checks, and I-9 verification. • Update and maintain personnel files, order labor law posters, and process employee changes. • Set up payroll systems, including timeclock configurations and data entry. • Support HR projects such as safety committee initiatives and employee engagement activities. • Stay informed about local, state, and federal labor laws to ensure compliance. • Respond promptly and accurately to employee and management queries. • Assist HR managers with employee relations matters and investigations when needed. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an HR-related role. • Proficiency in HR systems, including ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, and Workday. • Strong understanding of payroll processes and benefit administration. • Experience with employee onboarding and offboarding procedures. • Knowledge of labor laws at local, state, and federal levels. • Exceptional organizational and communication skills. • Ability to analyze and audit HR-related data effectively. • Prior experience with background checks and personnel file management.
