Description We are looking for a dedicated HR Coordinator to oversee all aspects of human resources at our school in West Covina, California. This position involves managing the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and contributing to both strategic planning and daily HR operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in employee relations and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and termination processes to ensure smooth transitions for all staff.
• Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and systems for tracking leave and attendance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, school policies, and regulations.
• Administer employee benefits, including sick leave, workers' compensation, and other programs.
• Support the performance evaluation process, including documentation and resolution of workplace conflicts.
• Collaborate with leadership on staffing strategies and workforce planning.
• Manage HR compliance documentation, including I-9 forms and adherence to HR policies.
• Utilize HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Dayforce, and other platforms effectively.
• Provide guidance on employee relations and foster a positive workplace culture. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required; HR certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR generalist or management roles.
• Strong understanding of labor laws, HR compliance, and employee relations.
• Proficiency in HR software systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Familiarity with HRIS databases and compliance documentation processes.
• Experience in the education or nonprofit sector is an advantage.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
