HR Coordinator
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team in Commerce, California. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic textile manufacturing company. You will play a key role in supporting HR operations, managing employee lifecycle processes, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. Responsibilities: • Address employee inquiries related to pay, attendance, and policies, and direct them to the appropriate teams as needed. • Manage administrative tasks related to employee onboarding, changes, and offboarding, including offer letters, background checks, and personnel file updates. • Oversee payroll processes such as timeclock setup and data entry to maintain accuracy. • Provide timely and accurate reporting and data analysis to support HR business partners. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws by staying informed of relevant updates. • Assist in coordinating HR projects, including safety committees and employee engagement initiatives. • Support employee relations by aiding HR managers in investigations and related matters. • Maintain up-to-date labor law posters and other compliance documentation. • Serve as a central point for administrative expertise throughout the employee lifecycle. Requirements + 2+ years experience in Human Resources, preferably at a Fortune 500 company and retail environment + Bachelor's Degree + Certification in HR a plus + Experience supporting Canadian market / teams. + High volume administration experience (including systems/database administration) in HR, recruitment or payroll. + Experience of working with hourly paid employees. + Knowledge of basic employment law and HR / Payroll practices would be advantageous. + Previous experience working with ADP, SharePoint, Outlook, Microsoft office suite.
