Corning’s Values are operationalized by the HR Function through the facilitation of Talent Management offerings, as well as programs and processes that aid in making Corning’s Values visible. **Role Purpose** We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Consultant to join our Human Resources team to support our North Carolina plant sites. This role will primarily focus on conducting employee investigations and analyzing findings to support the development of proactive and preventive measures that foster a positive and compliant workplace culture. The ideal candidate is passionate about employee relations, has strong problem-solving skills, and possesses a desire to grow into a Human Resources Manager role in the future. **Key Responsibilities** + **Employee Investigations:** + Collaborate with Employee Relations, Plant Human Resource Managers, and legal teams to conduct thorough and confidential investigations into employee complaints, workplace conflicts, and incidents. + Gather and analyze evidence, interview involved parties, and document findings clearly and concisely. + Ensure investigations comply with company policies, federal/state labor laws, and ethical standards. + **Preventive Measures Development:** + Partner with HR leadership to analyze investigation findings and identify opportunities to reduce recurring issues. + Develop and implement processes to share best practices, proactive strategies, and training to address workplace challenges. + Collaborate with management to promote a fair and inclusive environment that aligns with the company’s values. + **Compliance and Reporting:** + Maintain accurate and confidential records of investigations, findings, and resolutions. + Prepare regular reports and metrics for HR leadership, highlighting trends and areas for improvement. + **Leadership Development:** + Demonstrate an interest in personal and professional growth to prepare for future HR leadership roles. + Support the HR team in broader initiatives and projects to gain experience across key HR functions. **Experiences/Education - Required** + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. + Experience: 5+ years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations, investigations, or conflict resolution preferred. + Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism. + Knowledge of employment laws and regulations (federal and North Carolina-specific). + Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. + Leadership Aspirations: Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career path toward HR plant management roles. **Experiences/Education - Desired** + Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical behavior. + Empathy: Possess the ability to understand employee perspectives and build trust. + Critical Thinking: Analyze complex situations and develop creative solutions. + Collaboration: Work effectively across teams to achieve shared goals. + Growth Mindset: Show a willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges. **This position does not support immigration sponsorship.** The range for this position is $79,519.00 - $109,339.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
