REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Position reports to Director of Human Resources. No direct reports.
POSITION SUMMARY
The HRBP must be knowledgeable in all aspects of ProMedica’s human resource needs and offerings. Must exercise well-developed negotiation and customer service skills, while interacting regularly with employees and leadership within the business unit. In collaboration with the HR Director, the HRBP partners with the business to ensure the group's short-term and strategic goals are achieved through the effective use of the organization’s human capital.
ACCOUNTABILITIES

In collaboration with HR Director/VP develop and administer various human resources plans and procedures for assigned areas of responsibility.
Serve as a point of contact to aligned business partners for all HR-related needs and initiatives.
Provide strategic HR consulting and coaching, influencing leaders relative to necessary business actions.
Provide consultation to business leaders and employees on, workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, organizational excellence, employee relations, and diversity and inclusion.
Participates in the investigation and resolution of ongoing employee relations matters, such as working conditions, conflict resolutions, and disciplinary actions.
Utilize HR analytics to support staffing plans and identify cost savings initiatives.
Participate in developing department goals, objectives.
Collaborate with Operations in any new business ventures.
Coach management team and employees, providing direction on personal and management effectiveness.
Assist with strategic workforce planning, discussing employee career paths with managers, and recommending suitable developmental strategies to meet professional and organizational goals.
Collaborate with corporate Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Organizational Excellence to optimize the tools and resources of these teams in support of strategic goals and objectives.
Function as an internal consultant clarifying the proper application of HR policies and programs; investigate concerns and resolve day-to-day employee relations issues, either directly or through advice to management.
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Coach and facilitate the business through the appropriate change management steps to ensure successful execution of key business initiatives and projects.
Work with or refer employees to others for appropriate issue resolution, e.g., benefits questions, leaves of absence, etc.
Provide management, development, and direction to junior staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field with a concentration in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Management and Leadership, Industrial Relations, or similar concentration.
Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of employment law, investigative procedures, and HR management software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Years of Experience: 5+ years progressive HR experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
Certification: Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
Demonstrates business acumen along with the ability to analyze, synthesize, and present information at the appropriate level for various stakeholder groups. Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and management skills. Exhibits a strong focus on customer service and commitment to building relationships with key stakeholders. Working understanding of the principles and practices of human resource management and relevant legislation.
