Job Description
The Human Resource Generalist role provides hands-on support to one or more sites. The HR Generalist acts as the primary HR contact for employees and leaders within assigned sites, focusing on employee relations, culture and engagement, coaching and manager development, as well as training. The role involves partnering closely with site leadership to drive a positive workplace culture, ensure consistency in HR policies, and provide guidance on employee-related matters. Workforce planning and talent retention are key functions of this role.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary resource for handling employee relations matters, conducting investigations, resolving workplace conflicts, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.Manage onboarding of new hires, create and enter paperwork in the HRIS system, manage employee records, file, coordinate meetings, and provide general support to the HR department.Partner with site leadership to foster a positive and inclusive work environment, reinforce company values, and coordinate employee engagement initiatives such as employee luncheons and other events.Provide coaching and guidance to managers on effective practices, employee performance, performance management (reviews), and suggest development strategies to enhance managerial effectiveness.Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR-related policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring consistent application and compliance.Act as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries, including benefits, payroll, compensation increases, leaves of absence, and workplace accommodation, escalating complex issues as needed.Work closely with corporate HR teams and site leaders to align HR strategies with business goals and support organizational growth.Assist in identifying workforce trends, turnover concerns, and opportunities for retention strategies across assigned locations. Participate in interviews and intake processes and conduct exit interviews as needed.Assist in the recruitment process by scheduling, screening, interviewing candidates, and coordinating pre-employment screenings as needed.Manage new hire processing including paperwork, orientation, integration on the first day, preparing workstations, sending IT requests, and badge access management.Essential Skills
Human resources expertise with two plus years of HR generalist-type experience, preferably with employee relations experience.Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required or commensurate additional years of experience.HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.Work Environment
This position requires working five days onsite, with potential travel once a month with advance notice. Work hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
