Our client, in the real estate industry, is seeking an HR Business Partner to join their team based out of Columbia, MD!
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with managers and leadership to understand internal activities and provide strategic recommendations for current or upcoming needs.Develop, maintain, and implement policies and procedures.Support the recruitment process by preparing job descriptions, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and working closely with hiring managers.Assist with offer letters and employee onboarding and/or offboarding.Handle employee relations tasks including investigations, performance plans, and terminations.Serve as a subject-matter-expert to managers on compensation guidelines.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive HR experience required, with a minimum of 2+ as an HRBP.A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.Ability to travel to Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland to visit other offices as needed, approximately 20% for office/employee matters, interviews, team building events.Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting strategic recommendations to managers/leadership.
About the Role:
