Job Title: HR Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated HR Assistant responsible for conducting pre-employment screenings, including background and reference checks, assisting with new hire onboarding, and conducting interviews for associate-level employees. You will be responsible for reporting new hires to state and federal governments, processing personnel actions for payroll, and employment verifications. Additionally, you will assist with special HR projects such as salary surveys, position descriptions, and HR-related research.
Responsibilities
Conduct pre-employment screenings, including background and reference checks.Assist with new hire onboarding and assimilation.Conduct interviews for associate-level employees.Report new hires to state and federal governments.Process personnel actions for Payroll.Handle employment verifications.Assist with special HR projects like salary surveys and HR-related research.Attend weekly meetings.Monitor department email account, address employee questions, and forward emails to other HR team members as necessary.Essential Skills
Proficiency in Human Resources with 0-2 years of experience.Strong skills in data entry, onboarding, and employee relations.Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Deltek systems.Excellent time management and multitasking skills.Experience in safeguarding confidential information.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred.Office Administrative/Customer Service work experience.Dedication to team and customer service values with professionalism in communication.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Embraces a collaborative approach and excels at supporting and empowering team members.Work Environment
This position operates on a hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office (likely Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and remote work on Monday and Friday. The work hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 5:00 pm, with flexibility discussed after 90 days. The company offers a diverse, collaborative culture, promoting growth and development. Onsite parking is available for $65 per month, with the option to deduct from payroll.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $26.44/hr.
