HR Analytics Business Partner - Learning & Leadership Development

**JOB SUMMARY:**
We are seeking a strategic and analytical HR Analytics Business Partner with a focus on Learning & Leadership
Development to drive the evaluation and continuous improvement of our learning programs. This role will focus
on program assessment, leveraging data and insights to measure effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend
enhancements that align with organizational goals and learning outcomes. The ideal candidate is passionate
about learning, skilled in data analysis, and experienced in evaluating training outcomes across diverse formats
and audiences. You will be responsible for the end-to-end learning analytics framework, collaborating across
WM's HR Reporting & Analytics team, Learning and Leadership team, and business leaders to define KPIs,
measure the true impact.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
• Design and implement robust evaluation frameworks (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model, ROI analysis) to assess learning
program effectiveness. Example: For a leadership training program, you might use the Kirkpatrick Model to:
Survey participants immediately after training (Reaction), Test knowledge gained (Learning), Observe changes
in leadership behavior over 3 months (Behavior), and Measure improvements in team performance or retention (Results) by customizing frameworks to fit different types of learning (e.g., leadership development
vs. compliance training) and defining success metrics for each level of evaluation (e.g., knowledge retention,
behavior change, business impact).
• Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data from surveys, assessments, and performance
metrics.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and business leaders to align assessments
with learning objectives and business goals.
• Develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Conduct pre- and post-training assessments and analyze results to determine knowledge retention and
behavior change.
• Assist in the selection and implementation of learning technologies and platforms that support assessment and
analytics.
• Stay current with best practices in adult learning, instructional design, and learning analytics.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for L&D initiatives.
• Partner with HR technical teams to ensure accurate data integration and reporting.
• Present findings to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with instructional designers and facilitators to refine content based on assessment.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education:**
Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Research and Statistics, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field. (Master’s preferred).
**Work Experience**
5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with a strong focus on program evaluation and
analytics required.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SPSS) required.
Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning technologies required.
Strong communication and presentation skills required.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
• Certification in learning evaluation (e.g., CPLP, Kirkpatrick Certified) preferred.
• Experience with adult learning theory and instructional design.
• Knowledge of change management and performance consulting
• Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of adult learning styles and instructional design
• Demonstrated experience in partnering with business/organizational leaders, learning
consultants, and facilitators to translate business objectives into effective learning sessions
• Strong consultant approach to client relationships
• Proven track record to designing valid and reliable surveys
•Experience with statistical analysis including but not limited to ANOVA, T-tests, Correlation,
Multiple Regression, Multivariate Analysis
The expected salary range for this position is $112,700 - $148,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
