We are currently recruiting for an HR Advisor vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join us in a function that supports the business strategy to engage in rewarding and meaningful work. Our main objective is to deliver an effective and streamlined HR service to the organisation, ensuring a gold standard delivery of a broad range of HR administration.
WHAT YOU WILL DOThe role is designed to partner with managers and employees at various levels within the business, to provide HR support and solutions in a variety of employee relations areas. The role will consist of onsite working, and travel to other sites in the region. The structure will be; Sheffield site 3 days per week, and then the other 2 days at other NE sites i.e Leicester, Lincoln, Grimsby, Chesterfield, Royal Derby, with one day working from home.
The post holder will be required to make routine decisions independently, such as prioritising the work of themselves and others, responding to issues and questions, interpreting policies and procedures and applying these to real life situations. Also responsible for independently addressing more complicated and impactful employee issues and proposing solutions to senior HR team members.
Duties - cont'd The post holder will work under some direction but will work independently with managers and employees to resolve issues. The post holder can work at a tactical level, beginning to understand business strategies and aligns their work in support of those goals. The tactical areas of focus will include absence management, performance management, disciplinary and grievance processes. Consult and coach managers as they handle performance issues and talent development needs. First point of contact for Employee Relations issues, support investigations and recommend solutions. Working with HR Managers to monitoring absences and then providing proactive HR support to managers as and when required, giving advice and making Occupational Health referrals. Undertake HR orientation and develop and deliver other HR training sessions. Support the wider HR Team – undertake HR research, project support, reporting and analytics, and champion HR initiatives. Required Experience Working towards a CIPD qualification 3+ years experience in a multi-site/matrix environment 3+ years experience supporting employee relations cases Strong working knowledge of UK employment law Skills Ability to build relationships and influence decision making Must be well organized and possess the ability to multitask. Demonstrated project and time management skills, with an ability to set and maintain priorities to meet deadlines. The ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment; handle a multitude of tasks; and adapt to change.
