The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a high level of discretion when handling confidential information, and the ability to interact professionally with employees, management, customers, and external partners. This role supports a high-volume HR department and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The HR Assistant will also provide clerical and administrative support to other managers within the organization as needed.Transdev is proud to offer: Competitive compensation package of minimum: $21.00 to maximum $24.00Benefits include: Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeksSick days: 5 DaysHolidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floatingOther benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, voluntary short-term disability and voluntary long-term disability Key Responsibilities: Answer incoming phone calls from employees and candidates and direct them to the appropriate HR team member.Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, send invitations, and follow up on action items.Receive, date-stamp, and distribute incoming mail; assist with large mailings as needed.Send certified mail for final checks, employee notices, and other HR correspondence.Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and electronic records.Scan, copy, print, and manage document processing as needed.Enter, update, retrieve, and verify data within HR systems and electronic files.Operate standard office equipment.Create, maintain, and ensure the confidentiality of employee personnel files.Prepare new hire personnel files and ensure I-9 compliance.Receive and track benefit premium payments for employees on LOA/FMLA.Coordinate interview scheduling for operators and other open positions.Schedule employee relations meetings between employees and HR.Prepare and submit Employee Action Forms (EAFs), including terminations, pay rate changes, and other employee updates.Perform administrative tasks in compliance with contractual and legal requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.1–2 years of administrative or HR support experience in a professional environment.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of professionalism.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.Strong customer service skills when interacting with employees, customers, and external contacts.Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
