About this Role
Probst Electric is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Administrative and Onboarding Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new hires, supporting both administrative processes and employee engagement from offer acceptance through Day One.

What You'll Do
+ Coordinate and execute onboarding tasks, including pre-employment screenings, background checks, and paperwork completion.
+ Maintain accurate and timely entry of new employee data into HR systems (e.g., JD Edwards, iCIMS).
+ Communicate with new hires to guide them through onboarding steps and resolve inquiries promptly.
+ Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to confirm start dates and ensure readiness for Day One.
+ Prepare and organize onboarding documentation and employee files in compliance with company SOPs.
+ Support HR Director and HR team with administrative needs and department priorities.
+ Coordinate department meetings, including scheduling, agenda prep, and follow‑up on action items.
+ Manage and track HR department projects, ensuring progress updates, timelines, and completion of deliverables.
+ Support HR projects related to onboarding improvements and employee experience initiatives.
+ Uphold confidentiality and integrity of HR records at all times.
What You'll Bring
Required:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum 2 years of administrative or HR support experience.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems preferred.
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to manage sensitive information professionally.
Preferred:
+ Bilingual (Spanish/English).
+ HR certification
+ Experience in utility construction or similar industry.
