As a Receptionist at our headquarters, you’ll be the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and vendors, providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting our culture, shaping the future of the outdoors for people and the planet, and assisting the Corporate Services department with a variety of clerical tasks. This role is based at our Issaquah office, Monday-Friday from 7:45am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Deliver outstanding customer service to the public and REI staff, always using tact and discretion.Answer and route incoming calls during business hours, both onsite and remotely as needed.Greet visitors professionally and courteously, ensuring a positive first impression.Provide guidance about local amenities, activities, and services to employees and guests.Act as a concierge for satellite offices and serve as the first point of contact for employees and guests.Respond to questions and feedback from onsite personnel, resolving issues or escalating as necessary.Collaborate with Asset Protection and Health & Safety for site surveillance, handle badging inquiries, and assist with health screenings as needed.Support the Corporate Services department and HQ projects with clerical tasks, such as processing purchase order requests and maintaining staff updates in campus services software (e.g., SharePoint, iOffice, WeWork).Conduct daily site walkthroughs to ensure site quality and readiness.Serve as a notary for REI staff as requested.Assist with onsite events and activities as needed.Act as the onsite point of contact for facilities and vendor arrivals when required.Train new reception hires and temporary workers as needed.Required QualificationsProficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Experience handling confidential information in a professional environment.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
