Housing Program Manager
Description We are looking for a dedicated Housing Program Manager to oversee multiple housing programs and lead a team of supervisors and staff in Tacoma, Washington. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in providing housing solutions and support services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for creating long-term stability for those in need. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee three housing programs, including Rapid Rehousing, Permanent Supportive Housing, and Coordinated Entry Programs, ensuring they operate effectively and in compliance with agency policies and regulations. • Supervise program supervisors and provide guidance to a team of 11-13 staff members, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to performance outcomes. • Develop and manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and allocate resources to meet operational needs. • Foster strong relationships with community partners, external stakeholders, and funders to enhance collaboration and maintain program funding. • Evaluate contract deliverables and ensure all program commitments are met, identifying and addressing gaps as needed. • Establish and implement safety policies, conduct case and incident investigations, and lead workplace safety training initiatives. • Collaborate with leadership and the Grants Manager to contribute to strategic planning and secure new funding opportunities. • Provide oversight for service-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining exceptional service quality. • Guide supervisors in coaching their teams, focusing on skill development and achieving program goals. Requirements • Proven experience in case management and supervisory roles, preferably within housing or social services programs. • Strong understanding of program metrics, evaluation, and performance management. • Demonstrated ability to engage with community partners and stakeholders effectively. • Knowledge of supportive housing practices and services for individuals with complex needs. • Experience in budget management and resource allocation. • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address program challenges and meet deliverables. • Familiarity with safety management practices, including policy creation and training implementation. • Strong communication and leadership abilities to inspire and guide teams.
