Summary You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGER in the HOUSING BRANCH of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. All applications received on the day the application limit is reached will be accepted and processed Responsibilities You will direct planning and programming of maintenance, improvement and repair work for current and long-range requirements. You will develop local instructions and directives concerning assignment of quarters, maintenance and repair and a variety of facility requirements. You will perform management functions associated with a variety of unaccompanied personnel housing operations, maintenance and use of permanent-party accommodations. You will receive and resolve complaints of tenants and act as grievance arbitrator concerning personnel housing. You will review and provide recommendations for renovations and new construction projects. You will interpret policies received to formulate and distribute management implementing procedures or policies. You will perform supervisory personnel management functions. You will ensure that Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles are adhered to throughout the organization and promptly addressing allegations of discrimination, retaliation and harassment. You will provide data for and participate in the budget formulation phase and finalization of the Facility Department's annual work plan in line with changing conditions. You will develop and implement barracks plans for facility improvements and cyclical furniture and equipment replacement for all barracks spaces. You will oversee all facets of the furnishings program to include warehousing, replacement, repair, pickup and delivery. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing management plans and directives for the operation and utilization of government owned housing assets for housing, planning, scheduling AND coordinating all major activities for unaccompanied military personnel housing programs and facilities. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may also qualify based on the education below: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related Transcripts are required.
