Job Description

The Housekeeping Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, public areas, and other assigned spaces. The ideal candidate will ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests while adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety. Specific responsibilities include:

Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and mopping floorsReplenish guest room amenities, such as toiletries, towels, and minibar itemsClean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, and sinksMaintain cleanliness of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, and meeting roomsReport any maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to the appropriate departmentRespond promptly and courteously to guest requests and concernsProperly handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety guidelinesCollaborate with other housekeeping team members to ensure efficient room turnoverMaintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to supervisorsAdhere to established cleaning procedures and quality standardsRespect guest privacy and handle lost and found items according to hotel policyAssist in deep cleaning projects and seasonal maintenance as needed

Qualifications

 

Prior experience in housekeeping or a comparable role is highly desirable, though not mandatory.Demonstrated capacity to operate autonomously and efficiently in a high-pressure environment is essential.Exceptional attention to detail and unwavering commitment to upholding superior standards of cleanliness are imperative.Superior communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with guests and colleagues are required.Robust physical endurance and the capability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and prolonged standing, are necessary.Willingness to accommodate various shift schedules, including weekends and holidays, is mandatory.Proficient knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment is expected.A professional demeanor and dedication to fostering a collaborative work environment are crucial.
