As a professional Housekeeping Assistant on our team, you’ll take pride in cleaning and maintaining a clean, sanitary environment, minimizing any infection risk. Promotes and enhances the safety of patients, families, and staff. Maintains standards of operational practice. Maintains a professional appearance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintains all assigned ancillary and department areas and corridors in a clean neat and sanitary manner, to protect safety and health of others and in compliance with accurate preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in department policy.
• Inspects and uses judgment in determining which cleaning techniques outlined in orientation guidelines to follow.
• Keeps cart properly stocked with equipment and cleaning supplies; ensures all chemicals are accurately labeled, and all equipment is in good working condition.
• Promotes effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships, maintains professional conduct at all times.
• Cleans and services patient rooms, baths, offices, dining rooms, and other ancillary areas.
. Dusts furniture and equipment, cleans windows and windowsills, empties and washes trash receptacles.
. Ensure odor control.
. Inspects all rooms/areas for safety violations or damage and reports these issues to the supervisor.
. Performs other duties as necessary for the successful operation of the center.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Past cleaning experience preferred
• Attention to detail
• Ability to effectively follow simple oral and written instructions.
• Ability to respond effectively to changing demands.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
