Job Summary:  

My client is a lovely family of 4 looking for a new Housekeeper Cook to join their home. The family consists of mum, dad and their two children who are 1.5 and 3.5 years old. The family also have 2 cats!

The role will consist of all housekeeping aspects of cleaning of 5 bathrooms and around the house, tidying, laundry and general household errands as well as meal prepping and cooking for the family.

They will need to be happy to be around children, although they do have a live in Nanny so only light childcare will need to be completed if essential or an emergency. The right candidate will therefore need some childcare experience.

The candidate will be solely on their own completing the housekeeping tasks. They will need to be very proactive and show a lot of initiative, they would need them to be super friendly and a warm person to be around!

Job specification:

Housekeeping and cooking duties for the family Cooking family friendly cuisine for the whole family as well as meal prepping lunches and healthy snacks for the family Dusting surfaces, furniture, light fixtures, and appliances Wiping down counters, cleaning appliances (microwave, fridge, stove), washing dishes, and cleaning sinks in the kitchen Occasional babysitting as and when needed for emergencies Emptying bins and replacing the liners Vacuuming and mopping all floors Receiving parcels and deliveries at home, liaising with contractors from time to time if needed Any cat related tasks Changing bed sheets, pillowcases, and other linens Organising and straightening up common areas like living rooms, bedrooms, and entryways Washing, folding, ironing, and putting away clothes, linens, and towels Running errands such as grocery shopping or picking up dry cleaning

Candidate specification:

5 years experience previous experience in a private household Happy to work in a home with young children and two cats Friendly but discreet, with a keen eye for detail Pride in achieving a high level of cleanliness in their role Flexible and adaptable approach to work, proactive and able to work on own initiative
