House Assistant Principal - Elementary JobID: 5243 + Position Type: Administrative - Certified + Date Posted: 7/21/2025 + Location: District Wide + Closing Date: 08/04/2025 Salary: $70,000 (per a GASA MOA) plus $300/day for required 20 days Yearly Schedule: 10 Months plus 20 Days Reports to: Director of School Improvement Location: Districtwide Hours: 8 Hour Day including lunch Administrators and Supervisors are expected to devote the necessary time and effort required to properly complete their assigned responsibilities. It is understood that such time and effort may exceed the limits of normal working hours. Description: The Greece Central School District (GCSD) is seeking highly-motivated, results-oriented administrators to lead our schools. Candidates must exhibit key leadership skills to assist the District with the REACH 2027 Strategic Plan: Ignite Learning, Cultivate Trust, Expand Opportunity. This is an entry-level administrative position intended to build and enhance school-based leadership knowledge and skills. Requirements: + Must possess a broad background of educational experience in the areas of instruction, restorative practices, Response to Intervention and/or curriculum development; + Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills; and + Must possess a valid New York State administrative certificate (SBL/SAS/SBA) or be eligible for the same; + Must possess the ability to assume a building leadership role and establish short and long range personal and professional career goals and a plan to accomplish these goals. + Demonstrated knowledge of the Greece Strategic Plan and national best practices and trends for accelerating student achievement. + Demonstrated successful teaching experience related to working in socioeconomically and culturally diverse school settings. + Demonstrated educational practice rooted in a culture of high expectations and success for all students. Essential Functions: + A strong and clear vision of what our schools need to accomplish excellence through equity and how this should be done; + Evidence of personal preference for consensus-seeking leadership; + May work in multiple school buildings throughout the school year providing support to different school teams and school communities as needed; + Supports staff and teachers with student accountability and attendance; management that empowers teachers and solicits parent/community involvement;A detailed understanding and genuine enthusiasm with respect to site-based + Evidence of knowledge regarding the latest research in student learning, instruction, and child development; + Works with the building principal, teachers, support staff, and students to ensure effective implementation of the District Code of Conduct and School Safety Plan in order to promote a safe, productive, and equitable learning environment; + Evidence of understanding and past formal/informal leadership experience as it relates to instructional leadership, student engagement, community partnerships, Special Education and Response to Intervention, and student/classroom/building management; + Evidence of understanding of the REACH 2027 Strategic Plan and continuous school improvement; and + A strong personal vision of the school as a center for academic excellence; Submit with your application: + A current Resume + A cover letter addressed to Ms. Gina Larsen, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources + Three (3) current letters of reference + Copies of official transcripts All new employees must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment through NYSED before employment begins.
