House Assistant

The Housing Assistant is an essential contributor to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong commitment to professionalism. The Housing Assistant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas using eco-friendly products exclusively while ensuring high standards of quality and care are consistently met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General Cleaning

Use only eco-friendly cleaning chemicals in all assigned areas. Maintain a precise, organized, and detail-oriented approach to all tasks. Stock supplies such as toilet paper, dish detergent, and laundry detergent provided by the owner.

Kitchen

Clean and disinfect all surfaces, including countertops, sinks, stovetops, and the exterior of major appliances (dishwasher, oven, refrigerator). Dust, sweep, and mop floors. Dispose of trash and recycling properly. Wash dirty dishes in the dishwasher; hand-wash items not dishwasher-safe. Put away all clean dishes.

Living Room / Dining Room / Office

Clean and disinfect all surfaces. Dust and clean glass surfaces. Sweep and mop floors, vacuum rugs.

Stairs

Clean and disinfect all surfaces. Dust, sweep, and mop stairs.

Bathrooms

Clean and disinfect all surfaces, including mirrors, sinks, showers, and bathtubs. Stock toilet paper as needed. Dust, sweep, and mop floors; vacuum rugs.

Bedrooms

Clean and disinfect all surfaces. Dust, sweep, and mop floors; vacuum rugs. Make beds with clean linens provided by the owner.

Laundry

Wash all bed linens and make beds with clean linens. Wash and fold all clothes (excluding items requiring dry cleaning).

Other Duties

Perform additional cleaning or organizational tasks as requested by the owner.

Supervisory Relationships:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Reports directly to the property owner.

 

Education and Certifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required.

 

Experience and Skills:

Prior experience in residential or commercial cleaning is preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and professionalism are required. Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistency in cleaning standards. Knowledge of eco-friendly cleaning products and techniques is preferred. Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently. Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service.
