The Hyatt Regency DFW features 811 guestrooms and 92,000 square feet of function space. **About this Role:** The Hotel Facilities Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of projects throughout the hotel. The position is a highly collaborative role and will work closely with the Leadership Committee and other hotel departments to ensure the hotel is operating and executing in working order. The Facilities Manager will support the Director of Engineering in the daily operation of the department. **Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** + Responsible for timekeeping, payroll tracking, and attendance records to ensure accuracy and compliance with hotel policy. + Facilitate and manage coaching, leadership, and on-the-job training to engineering and maintenance team members to promote development and performance improvement. + Lead hotel maintenance project and pre-planning meetings with operational teams. + Review building plans and specifications to ensure that the approved designs have been incorporated and provide advice on specifications. + Oversee projects at regular intervals for appropriate quality and expectations with Hyatt brand standards ensuring deadlines are met as outlined. + Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce the hotel's carbon footprint and operational costs. + Oversee contracts and relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. + Lead sustainability projects, such as waste reduction programs and green certifications. + Execute emergency response plans, including fire safety, natural disasters, and other emergencies. + Manage the facilities budget, ensuring all expenditures are within approved limits. + Conduct regular training sessions for maintenance staff on safety protocols, equipment use, and best practices. + Implement and manage smart building technologies to enhance operational efficiency and guest experience. + Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards. + Address and resolve guest complaints related to facilities and maintenance issues promptly and effectively in an effort to achieve core service metrics. **Qualifications:** + 2 years Hotel knowledge and experience preferred + 2 years Management background preferred + Mechanical and Electrical knowledge required + A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment + Refined written and verbal communication skills + Service oriented style with professional presentation skills + Available to work a flexible schedule as business requires nights, weekends, and holidays + Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills + Proficient in Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn and navigate systems efficiently **Care connects us.** _At Hyatt, there’s a home for every stage of your career._ _We nurture curiosity and roles at Hyatt will help you learn new skills that support your personal and professional development.
