Lead process improvements (downtime, quality, etc.) and cost savings activities. Coordinate support groups and set processes and procedures to improve Hot Stamping Launch and Production while integrating new technology Develop and write cost analysis and proposals for integrating new and current technologyLead support groups to improve and assist with repair of processesTest ability of machines (such as Robots) to perform tasksDevelop operating procedures and resolve systems malfunctionWork with Maintenance and Toolroom to assist with determining part supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and service schedule required to maintain machines and equipment in prescribed conditionProvide engineering support for duration of the program including design phase, reviews, tryouts, launch support and productionSupport review and implementation of standards for the design of tooling and processes for auditsDevelop alternative processing methods for the CI of quality and manufacturing standards leading to cost reductionParticipate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in fieldInterface with co-workers in other departments such as maintenance, quality and manufacturing to improve technical informationDevelop timing plans and action plan to keep track of manufacturing improvementsDevelop and maintain qualified sources for projectsCapable of developing 8D’s by following root cause analysisHousekeeping and other activities as assignedEDUCATION:University, technical or trade school degreeSKILLS: This individual will work closely with both production team members and with Quality, Engineering, and Materials, spending a majority of their time directly on the shop floorExcellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, WordPerfect and/or Microsoft Word)The individual must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Understanding of how their decisions affect other departments and managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlinesBENEFITSLow Cost Health Insurance Low Cost Dental Insurance + Vision Insurance401(k) Matching Employee Profit Sharing PlanPaid VacationPaid HolidaysTuition Reimbursement and Online Career Development with Free Tuition Referral Program - Up to $1,500 per Skill Trade ReferralOnsite cafeteria Serving Hot Breakfast and LunchSelf-Checkout Snacks and Drinks Market Employee Assistance ProgramEmployee Discount ProgramAnnual Employee and Family EventsAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
