Job Title: Hot Forge Operator Location: Northwest Houston, Texas Type: Direct Hire Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30/4:00 PM; overtime available on weekdays and some Saturdays, 7:00 AM–12:00 PM Details: A precision component manufacturer in Northwest Houston is adding two Hot Forge Operators to support their growing production demands. This team produces close-tolerance, high-strength fasteners for critical applications and is looking for skilled individuals who take pride in operating heavy machinery and working with heat-treated materials. This is a full-time opportunity with excellent benefits, including a 100% company-paid HMO health plan, optional PPO plan, 401K (with matching coming next year), and two weeks of vacation. Focus Includes: + Operating punch press and induction heating equipment for forging aerospace-grade metal fasteners + Monitoring and adjusting temperatures on induction heating systems + Lubricating and feeding parts in and out of forging equipment + Reading routers and interpreting job specifications to meet product tolerance requirements + Measuring and inspecting forged parts to ensure dimensional and visual compliance + Making minor setup adjustments and assisting with more complex setups as needed + Accurately tracking production counts and documenting work in production software + Following safety procedures and company policies at all times Top consideration given to candidates with: + 1+ year of experience in a forging or heavy manufacturing environment + Strong understanding of forging processes, especially those involving complex shapes or wrenching features + Ability to read and interpret job routers, basic drawings, and specifications + Familiarity with measurement tools and quality inspection methods + Experience working with induction heating systems and metal forming equipment + A proactive mindset with the ability to work with minimal supervision + Solid math skills and the ability to convert between measurement systems About the Company: This manufacturer specializes in producing critical, high-precision parts for industries where quality and durability are non-negotiable.
