Job description

We are seeking a friendly and professional hostess to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests with a warm, friendly demeanor upon their arrival Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, optimizing available space Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and assist with seating Collaborate with waitstaff, kitchen, and management to ensure smooth operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and dining section Handle phone and online reservations, confirming bookings and managing the reservation system Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly Stay informed about menu items, specials, and events to offer accurate information to guests Assist in organizing and coordinating special functions during busy periods or events Promote special offers and menu items to enhance guest experience and increase revenue Adhere to company policies and procedures related to customer service and hospitality Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in a similar hospitality role Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude Strong communication skills and proficiency in English Cultural sensitivity and awareness, with knowledge of local customs in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in managing reservations and seating arrangements Basic math skills for table assignments and reservation management Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Professional appearance and good personal hygiene Knowledge of reservation systems (preferred) Problem-solving skills to handle guest concerns effectively Familiarity with hospitality industry practices and standards Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach Dedication to continuous improvement in service quality Additional information
