Location Description Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174’. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space. Overview We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Host to join our team! The Host is key to a successful operation. This individual is responsible for greeting each guest as they arrive to the restaurant. They will also support the service team with delivering memorable hospitality to our guests. As a Host, it is your responsibility to set the tone for the guests visit, you are the first and last contact they have. Your role: Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant area Monitoring the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables Estimating wait times for guests and monitoring the guest waiting list Ensuring that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting. Answering the telephone, booking reservations and moving tables together to accommodate large parties. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. Must have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to provide a pleasnt and fun atmosphere. Superior phone ettiquete and excellent business acumen. Must be professional at all times even when faced with difficult situations. Must be able to multi-task while ensuring guest service and experience is not overlooked. Abilty to be the difference, go above and beyond, and create memorable experiences for our guests, visitors, and employees. Pleasant, warm, friendly, and engaging personality is a must. Must be flexible with availability to work various hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to speak clearly and professionally as you interact with guests (face to face or over the phone). Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $16.50/Hr. - $17.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
