Duties and responsibilities related to theHost/hostess-The Montagu Restaurantrole
·Welcome and engage guests with a warm, professional approach, creating a positive first impression of the restaurant.
·Manage reservations and guest flow efficiently, ensuring smooth seating and accurate wait time communication.
·Escort guests to their tables and provide clear handovers to the service team for a seamless dining experience.
·Respond to phone enquiries and reservation requests promptly, ensuring excellent guest communication.
·Anticipate and respond to guest needs, handling special requests and ensuring a personalised experience.
·Support the wider team by assisting with table setup, clearing, and basic service tasks during busy periods.
·Maintain knowledge of current promotions, menus, and restaurant offerings to inform and engage guests.
·Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organisation while adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
About you
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and customer-focused individual with previous experience in a host/hostess or guest-facing role, ideally within a restaurant or luxury hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a professional and welcoming manner, and a strong attention to detail. You will thrive in a fast-paced setting, be confident managing guest flow and reservations, and demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering an exceptional and seamless dining experience.
