Job Summary:\rPerforms patient food service activities from the point of receiving the patient diet order to the point of meal delivery to include tray line functions, diet office, and formula room tasks. Assists in quality monitoring to assure excellence in patient food service. Complies with AU Health Customer Service Standards with all customers and hospital staff. Utilizes the Meal Host Script when passing and retrieving patient trays.\rCore Responsibilities and Essential Functions:\rAssists patients with food selections and communicating special needs to clinical nutrition staff in a timely and pleasant manner. Assists with tray line preparation tasks.\rAccurately checks patient trays to ensure that all patients receive meals based on current diet order while maintaining excellent tray appearance and accuracy. Accurately prepares patient snacks and express meals. Maintains a clean and organized work area.\rPossess and utilizes advanced knowledge of therapeutic diets in the performance of their job. Has a working knowledge of all HACCP standards. Follows established guidelines for delivering patient meals and retrieving patient trays.\rDemonstrates above average competence and excellent customer relations in all aspects of job functions.\rDemonstrates knowledge of and adherence to administrative, hospital, and departmental house rules, policies, procedures, and objectives.\rPerforms other duties as assigned\rComplies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.\rRequired Minimum Education:High School Diploma General or GED General\r\rRequired Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):\rAll certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.\rAdditional License(s) and Certification(s):\rRequired Minimum Experience:\rMinimum 1 year experience in customer service or food and nutrition services Required and\rRequired Minimum Skills:\rExcellent communication skills High
