Job Details ER HOSPITALIST REQUIREMENTS: + Licensed to practice medicine in New York State + Board Certified or Board eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. + New resident graduates are welcomed + BLS and ACLS certified by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. No online courses are accepted ER HOSPITALIST RESPONSIBILITIES: + Work closely and collaboratively with emergency department staff, attending physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure proper patient management + Perform initial clinical assessments of patients being admitted, including taking detailed histories, performing physical exams, ordering appropriate and necessary tests, labs, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures + Ensure proper documentation and compliance with medical standards for patient admission + Communicate effectively with patients and their families about the admission process, expected care plan, and any specific needs or concerns with focus on patient experience + Communicate and work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure maximum delivery of quality care to all patients + Document care delivered in the hospital's medical record system + Conform to hospital-stipulated policies and procedures, Corporate Compliance, and HIPAA programs + Participate in medical staff educational programs + Active supporter of new programs Salary Range USD $132,500.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
