**Job Description**
**Harborview Medical Center Environmental Services** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Hospital Custodian Supervisor** .
**Work Schedule**
+ 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
+ Evening Shift
**Position Highlights**
+ Supervise a team of 25+ custodians and one Custodial Supervisor
+ Train staff and manage administrative tasks such as supply levels, staffing needs, training requirements, and department procedures

**Primary Job Responsibilities**
+ Serve as a second-line supervisor in the custodial department
+ Interview and recommend candidates, conduct training, schedule work, handle leave requests, complete evaluations, and recommend disciplinary actions
+ Determine staffing needs, analyze workloads, and assign duties accordingly
+ Train new hires in the Housekeeping and Linen departments
+ Supervise day shift custodial staff in the Trauma Emergency Room to ensure proper cleaning procedures
+ Inspect facilities, monitor hand hygiene compliance, retrain staff when needed, and report to the Operations Manager
+ Prepare custodial reports, including equipment inventories and procedural documentation
**Requirements**
+ Three years of experience in custodial or general maintenance work
+ Two years of experience as a Custodian Supervisor 1
+ Equivalent education and experience may substitute for required qualifications
