In this position, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely transport of grain between facilities based on dispatch directives. You will be a key partner in maintaining our high standards for load integrity and vehicle safety, ensuring our operations remain efficient and our fleet stays in peak condition. **Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities:** + Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of grain according to dispatcher scheduling. + Verify that the correct weight of grain is loaded into the truck and that the full, correct weight is delivered to the assigned facility. + Perform daily pre-trip truck inspections according to DOT standards and report any deficiencies to fleet mechanics for repair or preventative maintenance. + Maintain accurate logs for fuel purchases, trip tickets, daily hours, and grain pickups. + Perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the grain department. **Required:** + Valid Class A CDL license + High School diploma or GED + Minimum of two (2) years of over-the-road tractor-trailer driving experience **Preferred:** + Strong communication and customer service skills + Previous experience in agricultural hauling **Physical & Work Environment Requirements:** + Ability to remain seated and operate a tractor-trailer for extended periods within DOT limits. + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to assist with loading or unloading products. + Exposure to fuel, oil, and extreme temperatures ranging from **0°F to 100°F** , with humidity up to 100% and noise levels up to 100db. + Required to travel to remote locations and may be required to stay away from home overnight as needed. _Perdue Farms Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
