As the Assistant Vice President, Senior Counsel in Home Lending Litigation you will work independently and with outside counsel to represent the Firm in litigation matters, as well as provide advice on a broad range of other matters and issues relating to Chase’s residential mortgage lending business. You will have independent contact with, and support, senior management in the Firm.  Demonstrating litigation skills, as well as sound legal judgment, you will leverage your deep understanding of litigation matters to make informed decisions that deliver positive results to our customers and our business partners.  If you are focused on driving positive results, with a passion for handling a variety of litigation matters, you may be the perfect fit for our team.

Job Responsibilities:

Managing actual and potential litigation mattersAdvising on litigation issues that impact various business functions, including loan origination, servicing and foreclosureManaging dispute resolutionInterpreting existing laws, rules, and regulations and advising on changes theretoAdvising on advocacy in connection with contemplated and proposed laws, rules, and regulationsProviding legal advice to the business and functionsSelecting, engaging, and managing outside counsel for the Firm on all matters in which outside counsel is engaged

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

A minimum of three of post-admission legal practicing experienceJuris doctorate degree. All candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employmentKnowledge of, and experience with, complex litigation mattersAbility to assume significant independent responsibility immediatelyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to think strategically, write well and communicate effectively with both legal and non-legal professionals, including senior executives of the FirmAbility to build and maintain good client and colleague relationships

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Extensive litigation experience, with prior experience in financial services or Home Lending litigation being a plusAbility to manage a large volume of cases and balance competing priorities
