Eddy Senior Care – Schenectady Area
Work schedule: Part Time Days-30 hour a week position, ideally 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday
Eddy SeniorCare has a rewarding opportunity for a day center aide to work out of our 1938 Curry Road, Schenectady NY location!
PACE is a unique program on the forefront of trends in healthcare, combining an insurance role (we are the Medicare/Medicaid insurer for our participants) with a comprehensive healthcare provider role (primary care, home health, adult daycare, transportation, all coordinated by an interdisciplinary team).
The day center aide is responsible for welcoming participants into our adult day center and attending to their needs.
This includes
**assisting with meals**
**helping them with personal care**
**being part of the activities team that help to keep the participants entertained!**
The position requires the staff person to be a certified home health aide but there are options for training if necessary
The individual must possess strong interpersonal skills in order to meet the physical and psychological needs of the participant . We are looking for a dependable ,gentle, respectful individual whom loves the elderly. Come join our team !
What you will need:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Completion of Home Health Aide Training Program, Home Health Aide Equivalency Program, C N A Transition Program, or Personal Care Aide Upgrade Program approved by the New York State Department of Health
One or more years experience is preferred, as either a Home Health Aide in a Certified or Licensed Home Health Agency or as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a hospital or nursing home.
Pay Range:$18.10 - $22.15
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
