Job Description

Position Summary

Assist Supervisor with day to day management of the team; train team members as needed; machine parts to conform to blueprints/drawings

Duties and responsibilities

Independently set up and operate all HMC machinesUpdate the schedule/production list and distribute work to the team as neededTrain HMC team on new or updated processesFocus on continuous improvement using process improvement tools such as 7SEnsure that the team follows all safety guidelinesOperate machine/s while maintaining blueprint specificationsPerform stability study of gauges usedLoad and edit programs as neededPerform initial inspection when neededTroubleshoot any issues on HMC machineAssist HMC team with any issuesAssist with process improvement tools, such as DOEMaintain a clean work environmentComply with all safety and sanitation regulationsUse all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and instructed

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

Lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistanceAble to stand for long periods of timeAbility to load/unload machines (requires repetitive lifting and bending)

Work Environment

Majority of the work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to highPPE required as determined by company safety standards:  safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes

QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent, required5 or more years of experience as a CNC machinist with manual machining experienceDemonstrated ability to setup and troubleshoot all HMC machinesAbility to work with a strong sense of urgency to complete tasksAbility to read, communicate, and explain required documents for production process and other company communications in EnglishAbility to develop and or improve processes on new or existing parts with a complete understanding of machining fundamentals and practicesAbility to use all relevant measurement equipmentAbility to follow written and verbal instructions given in EnglishAbility to meet quality and productivity standardsAbility to read blueprints thoroughlyComputer skills, intermediate knowledge Microsoft OfficeStrong attention to detailAbility to work as a part of a team

Additional Information

The US hourly pay rate is $25- $29/hour. Within the range, individual pay rate is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
