Position Details: Day Shift Hours: (Mon-Fri) flex schedule at 8 or 10 hour shifts, starting at 7am No weekends & Holidays!!! Responsibilities include embedding, microtomy, processor and stainer maintenance, and other ancillary duties as required. Experience: Non-Reg with at least 3 years of Histo (embedding/microtomy) experience will be considered HT - ASCP or ASCP – HTL Embedding, microtomy and IHC experience (preferred) Histology Technician, Histologist, HISTOTECHNICIAN, Histotechnician, Histo Technician, Histology Technician, histotechnician, Histotehnologist, Histotech, Histotechnologist, certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), histotechnology Requirements: High School Diploma or GED 2 years of experience Why Join Us? Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Responsible for providing a variety of basic routine tests and procedures on tissue and related surgical specimens submitted for histological examination. Responsibilities Tasks limited to microtomy, embedding, staining. Performs and documents quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary. Understands maintenance, troubleshooting and operation of all instrumentation in assigned areas. Has minimal understanding of test principles.
