HIS Analyst

Perform quality assurance audits on vendor imaged documents to assure that information is indexed under the correct patient under the prescribed indexing scheme and image quality meets departmental/vendor agreed upon standards. Convert documents to text images and import images into current scanning application. Review records for completeness accuracy and compliance with regulations. Enter deficiencies into chart tracking computer system. (HIM=Health Information Management). This position necessitates regular on-site work.
+ Analyzes each patient health record.
+ Communicate with customers.
+ Performs area-specific support/technical activities.
+ In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $15.37 - $23.82 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Must successfully pass AHIMA approved Medical Terminology CBL course within 12 months of hire date.
Experience: No experience required
Licensure: None required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
