Job Title: Glendale BCBA – ABA Supervisor
Division: Amergis Educational Staffing and Glendale Unified School District
Reports Directly to: Lead Special Service Agent at Glendale and Amergis Recruiter and Manager
Credentials: Active BCBA
Effective Date: 08/19/2025
Direct Care Hours: 15-20 per week
Indirect hours: 5 per week
Knowledge of:
Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, and related disabilities. Theories of Applied Behavior Analysis, including current learning strategies, current behavior management strategies, and data collections and data analysis methods. Educational expectations based on the California Content Standards and No Child Left Behind. Pertinent Federal, State, and local codes and regulations regarding the education of students with autism spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities. Report preparation techniques. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to:
Plan, develop and coordinate programs and service delivery options to meet the needs of students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, and related disabilities. Provide leadership and direction to Autism, moderate severe programs and activities. Interpret, apply, explain, and maintain current knowledge of applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations to assigned activities. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. Plan and organize calendar, indirect hour tasks, program updates, and individual case needs. Ability to drive to and from school sites within Glendale Unified School District with a reliable vehicle. Mileage between school sites is compensated by Amergis. Work independently with little direction. Prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports. Direct the maintenance of a variety of data, reports, and individual case specific needs. Experience, education, licenses, certifications and other requirements Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and in good active standing with the BACB. Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education or related field preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience providing behavior analytic programs and services in schools working with pre-school and/or school-aged students with autism spectrum disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities. Professional Crisis Management Certificate. Complies with all relevant professional and ethical standards of practice. Adheres to the BACB task list and code of ethics. Current CPR if applicable. Must meet all federal, state and local requirements. Understand patient confidentiality and all HIPAA and FERPA requirements. Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required. Verification of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s license and possession of a reliable car.
