Medical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking meticulous and dedicated individuals to join our team as Medical Assemblers. You will begin your journey in the coiling department, working within a cleanroom environment. Your primary responsibility will involve operating coil winding machines to assemble medical components. This role requires adaptability and a keen eye for detail, as you will be trained in various areas of the assembly process over time.

Responsibilities

Operate coil winding machines to assemble medical components.Inspect and manipulate wires using microscopes for 30-50% of the day.Sit and stand for extended periods, adapting to different positions as required.Work in a cleanroom environment and adhere to gowning procedures.Utilize small hand tools for assembly and inspection tasks.Ensure precision and quality control throughout the assembly process.Participate in cross-training across different assembly lines.

Essential Skills

4-6+ months of experience in medical manufacturing or handling small parts.Experience using a microscope for 4-6+ months.Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.Proficiency in coil winding and laser welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Mechanical inclination, particularly useful in the housings area.Good hand dexterity, beneficial for intricate assembly tasks.Adaptability and willingness to be cross-trained in multiple areas.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean and well-maintained facility. Employees will work in a cleanroom setting, requiring specific gowning procedures. There are also non-cleanroom areas with more mechanical tasks. Both environments demand adaptability to varying noise levels and the necessity of wearing eye protection. Flexibility in sitting and standing is essential, as daily tasks vary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.78/hr.
