High-Rise Superintendent (Concrete Structures)

We’re looking for a High-Rise Site Superintendent (Concrete Structures) in the Multi-Family Industry.
Our client is continuing to expand and is seeking an experienced High-Rise Site Superintendent to join their team in Calgary. This role offers strong career development and growth opportunities, exposure to complex concrete high-rise construction, and involvement in large-scale, landmark projects.
The Site Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards, with a strong focus on concrete structure execution.
Site Superintendent Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and other project team members Oversee subcontractors, schedules, quality control, and site safety for high-rise concrete projects Lead and manage all site activities related to concrete structure, sequencing, and coordination Contribute to decisions regarding construction methodology, sequencing, and design implementation Work with the project team to proactively identify and resolve site-related challenges Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to site personnel and trade partners Maintain clear communication with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders Manage conflict by addressing issues professionally and constructively Proactively seek solutions and escalate issues when required Demonstrate the ability to plan ahead, anticipate challenges, and manage work efficiently Lead by example in health, safety, and environmental compliance on site The Successful Candidate Has: Proven experience delivering high-rise concrete structure multi-family projects, typically $20M+ Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, formwork systems, building codes, and industry best practices Ability to anticipate constructability issues in complex, high-density environments and implement effective solutions Strong conflict-resolution and leadership skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals, and specifications Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality control Excellent communication and team-collaboration skills Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Teams Experience with Procore (or similar construction management software) is an asset Compensation and benefits: The discussed salary range is $130,000 – $155,000, depending on experience Performance-based bonus Vehicle allowance RRSP matching program Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
