Key Responsibilities:
Verification of Higg FEM Submissions: Review Higg FEM submissions for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with applicable environmental standards. Assess the validity of self-reported data submitted by facilities in accordance with Higg FEM guidelines. Conduct Site Visits (if required): Perform on-site inspections to verify environmental data provided in the FEM submission. Collect supplementary evidence through interviews with facility staff, direct observation, and review of environmental management systems. Document findings and discrepancies, offering constructive feedback to the facility.Qualifications: ·
Education: o Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
o Relevant certifications in environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) or sustainability practices are a plus. ·
Experience:
o Proven experience in environmental sustainability or environmental auditing, preferably in the textile, apparel, or manufacturing industries. o Prior experience working with sustainability tools or certifications (e.g., Higg FEM, ISO 14001, etc) is highly desirable.
o Familiarity with energy, water, waste, and emissions management is essential. ·
Skills: o Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex environmental data and provide actionable recommendations
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally.
o Maintaining the integrity of the verification process.
Other Requirements: o Ability to travel to facilities for on-site verifications
o Fluency in English (Regional languages are mandatory).
