Job Description Insight Global is looking to hire a technically inclined Helpdesk Support Technician in a 6-month Contract to Hire role for an Internet Service Provider client of ours in Ames, IA. This candidate will be answering phones from customers who want to activate their Internet, Phone, or TV services. Qualified candidates will be expected to speak the technical language and have a basic understanding of Windows and IOS operating systems, as well as basic knowledge regarding networking connectivity issues surrounding Internet Services. They will work Sunday to Thursday and have Friday and Saturday off. This will be for the night shift (3:00 pm to 12:00 am) and the pay depending on skills will be between $18/hr to $20/hr. Skills and Requirements • Basic working knowledge of how IT Networking operates regarding routers(GUIs), switches, and modem set-ups  • Basic troubleshooting experience with Windows or IOS operating systems  • Self-starter, someone who can be professionally persistent and have proper business ethics Reliable Transportation • Understanding of IOT Devices  • Graduate or Current Student pursuing a Degree in a Technical Field  • Prior Infrastructure experience or exposure to Ethernet and Fiber Optics  • Technical interests outside of work Networking experience with switches
