Help Desk Support Technician
Description Client is seeking a number of detail-oriented and customer-focused IT Help Desk Technicians to support their team through a tennant migration. This role is responsible for providing technical support to end users, troubleshooting Windows operating system and Microsoft issues, supporting password resets, and ensuring excellent customer service in every interaction. Timeline Positions would start Jan 26th and go thorugh the end of March with the opportunity to get extended. Shifts Needed 7am-4pm, 8-5pm, 9-6pm Top Skills Details + 2-3 years of Help desk support over the phone and experience documenting calls in a ticketing system. + Experience helping end users that are having Windows 10/11 Operating Systems problems. Troubleshooting issues to the point of break-fix, identifying and resolving issues via remote help desk. MS Office Suite, as well as other MS products such as word, Office, Excel etc. + 2-3 years of password reset and active directory experience - This includes adding/ terminating users, group policy, etc. + Strong customer service, written and verbal communication skills and ability to support customers who are not technical. Skills + Provide Tier 1–2 support for Windows 10/11 operating systems, including break-fix troubleshooting and remote assistance. + Respond to help desk calls, document issues in the ticketing system, and ensure timely resolution. + Support end users with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other Microsoft applications. + Perform Active Directory tasks such as adding/terminating users, managing group policies, and maintaining user accounts. + Collaborate with IT team members to escalate complex issues when necessary. + Deliver clear, professional communication in both written ticket documentation and verbal interactions with non-technical users. + Maintain a customer-first approach, ensuring users feel supported and understood. Required Skills & Qualifications + 2–3 years of Help Desk experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments. + Proficiency in troubleshooting operating system issues to resolution (break-fix). + Experience with remote help desk tools and ticketing systems. + Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and related applications. + 2–3 years of Active Directory experience, including user account management and group policy familiarity. + Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users. + Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to create detailed technical documentation. + Logical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and empathy for end users. Experience Level Entry to Intermediate Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Marshfield, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
