HEF Data Analyst (12-month Contract)

Please note: This is a 12-month contract role to cover a parental leave.

What is the opportunity?

The Data Analyst role on HEF Analytics team will be responsible for management reporting and developing automation solutions for HEF Business team.

What will you do?

Execute and maintain reports in with regular cadence to ensure effective monitoring

Proactively identify inefficiency in the reporting process and responsible for automation solutions

Act as key contributor for coding migration from SAS to Python and further automation using advanced tools through collaboration with Infrastructure team

Optimize existing reports in Tableau and PowerPoint to tell stories using data. Collect feedbacks with various users to improve and meet their needs

Develop code samples for the team and establish coding standard

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

2+ years of data analytics or data science experience in the Financial Services industry, knowledge of credit products preferred

Proficient technical skills in SAS, SQL, Python, Tableau

Knowledge of data infrastructure and automation tools

Strong collaboration and time management-skills with high attention to detail

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Intellectually curious, independent, growth mindset with bias for action

Nice to have:

Technical skills: experience with Data Lake, Trino, etc.

Understanding of the mortgage industry, including the financial drivers of the business

Bachelors /Masters degree in a quantitative field is (e.g. Statistics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Engineering, etc.)
