Hedge Fund - Senior Manager

LinkedIn: Jonathan Christian (JC) del Rosario Company Overview A prominent global institutional asset management firm with over billions in assets under management is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager – Hedge Fund Accounting to join its team. With a global footprint and offices in major financial centers, the firm specializes in a diversified range of investments, including public and private debt and equity securities, direct investments in private companies, and real estate. Position Summary The Senior Manager will play a critical leadership role within the fund accounting team, overseeing the monthly and annual accounting close processes for both multi-strategy and specialized hedge funds. Reporting directly to the Global Controller, this individual will manage a team of accounting professionals and collaborate with departments across the organization, including Legal, Tax, Investor Relations, and Operations. This position requires deep technical knowledge of hedge fund structures, including both share class and partnership formats, along with extensive hands-on experience using Advent Geneva. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, effective communicator, and team-oriented leader who is eager to contribute to the firm's ongoing digital transformation and operational enhancements. Key Responsibilities + Manage and review monthly NAV close packages, unaudited financial statements, and year-end audited financials. + Support and mentor the fund accounting team to ensure consistent growth, development, and performance. + Oversee investor-level P& L allocations and fund performance reporting in accordance with fund governing documents. + Coordinate with third-party administrators to ensure timely delivery of investor statements and transparency reports. + Collaborate with internal teams on client reporting requests and investor-related inquiries. + Prepare or review calculations for regulatory filings (e.g., BEA, CIMA). + Assist in managing the global annual audit process and liaise with external auditors and service providers. + Review quarterly valuation models for private equity and debt investments, working closely with investment teams and valuation agents. + Drive process improvements and support the modernization of fund accounting platforms and workflows Requirements Qualifications/Skills + Minimum of 15 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong focus in hedge fund or asset management sectors. + Expert-level proficiency in Advent Geneva is required. + Certification such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent is mandatory. + Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power Query is a plus. + Strong knowledge of complex accounting rules, hedge fund structures, and industry standards. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities. + Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. + Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.
