Sterling Crane has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (310T Truck and Coach) based in our Corunna, Ontario shop. This is a permanent full-time position working Monday through Friday, with potential overtime and travel to areas of operation required.Position: Heavy Equipment Technician (Truck and Coach) – Red Seal, Journeyperson.
Location: Corunna, Ontario.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with potential overtime required.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting, inspecting, testing machinery, repairing and servicing the Sterling equipment fleet.
Estimate the cost of repairs, order parts and track fleet maintenance in the Sterling Preventative Maintenance Program.
Qualifications:
Journeyperson Red Seal Truck and Coach Technician required.
Working experience in electrical and hydraulic systems is required.
Must supply own basic hand tools.
Possessing a valid AZ driver’s license would be considered an asset.
The successful candidate must demonstrate safe work practices, follow company policies and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
A strong working knowledge of Kobelco, Liebherr and Tadano crane manufacturers is an asset.
The successful candidate will be required to be in good standing with IUOE 793 or become members of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 793.
IMPORTANT:
Ideally, the successful candidate would be local to the Sarnia area.
As a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that candidates successfully pass pre-employment testing that may include Drug and Alcohol screening.
