Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with expertise in operating backhoes and mini-excavators for sewer and water service repairs and replacements. This role involves working on both residential and commercial projects to provide efficient and effective excavation services.

Responsibilities

Operate backhoe, mini-excavator, skid steers, and other excavation machinery to excavate and load loose materials on job sites.Load, unload, and secure equipment on transport trailers following guidelines.Adhere to OSHA safety procedures.Work collaboratively with a crew to complete excavation projects efficiently.Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers.Maintain excavation equipment and gather necessary tools from the branch or rental companies.Perform excavation work in confined spaces and open trenches, following safety protocols.Ensure safe driving and operation of service vehicles between job sites.

Essential Skills

Construction experience in residential and commercial projects.Possession of a current CDL Class A license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Trenchless water, sewer, and gas experience is a plus.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.Ability to complete jobs within specified timelines.Backflow certifications (support provided to obtain).OSHA 10 certification (support provided to obtain).

Work Environment

The role involves excavation work in both commercial and residential buildings, with an 8-hour workday. Overtime is compensated at 1.5 times the average production rate. Employees clock in upon leaving home and are paid for mileage at 70 cents per mile.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
