**Central Transfer & Recycle Center (CRC)** , a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a highly motivated & safety driven, **Heavy Equipment Operator,** to work at our **Transfer Station** in **Vancouver, WA.** Pay range is **$28-$29/HR DOE** Schedule is **Wednesday-Sunday** Shift is **10:00 AM to Close (6:30 PM or 7:30 PM)** with some overtime as needed. Safety Sensitive: **Yes** Qualified candidates must have **938 CAT Loader, 308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe, Yard Truck** and **53ft chassis/** **Trailer** experience. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + **REQUIRES** ability to efficiently & safely operate **938 CAT Loader, 308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe, Yard Truck** and **53ft chassis/** **Trailer** experience. + Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires. + Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. + Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. + Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. **WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:** + Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. + Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. + Ability to operate heavy equipment is required. + Knowledge of basic computer skills. + Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance. + Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels. + Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures. **MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:** + High school diploma or equivalent. + **Minimum 500-hours** of **Heavy Equipment Operating** experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. + Heavy Equipment Operating certification from an accredited trade school **_preferred_** . + Basic knowledge of computer skills. + Pre-employment requirements for this safety sensitive position include **drug panel screening, motor vehicle report, &** **criminal background check.** To be considered for any of our current openings you must complete an application at www.wasteconnections.com .
