Job Title: Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. You will operate a variety of heavy machinery to ensure efficient operations in a mining environment. Your role is critical to maximizing productivity while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

Safely operate heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, skid steers, tractors, bay loaders, bulldozers, excavators, graders, haul trucks, and drills.Work in all areas of the mine as needed, including process areas.Utilize equipment in a manner that maximizes productivity and minimizes wear and downtime.Perform and document pre-shift and post-shift inspections of mobile equipment and work areas.Maintain safe working conditions and ensure all crewmembers and others on site follow all safety and regulatory procedures and practices.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including dozers, forklifts, skid steers, excavators, and backhoes.Experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly in construction settings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.Willingness to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, pulling, pushing, and standing for an entire 12-hour shift.Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.May be exposed to sulfuric acid, fumes, dust, diesel, gas, oil, solvents, and other hazardous materials.Availability to work holidays, extended hours, overtime, and be on-call.

The work environment involves coal mining areas, where you may be exposed to various elements and hazardous materials. The role requires working 12-hour shifts, including holidays, extended hours, and overtime as necessary.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $69780.00/yr.
