Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, off-road haul trucks, and skid steers. This role involves performing tasks related to construction, excavation, and site preparation while ensuring safety and efficiency. The pay rate will be between $28 and $40 an hour depending on your experience.

ResponsibilitiesSafely and efficiently operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, off-road haul trucks, and skid steers.Prepare construction sites by digging trenches, leveling ground, and moving materials.Load and unload materials such as soil, sand, gravel, and debris using machinery.Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition and report any issues.Essential SkillsMinimum of 10 years of experience in demolition.Experience in the construction and/or environmental remediation field required.HEO Experience.Experience operating hydraulic attachments.Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHA 10 or higher construction training preferred.HAZWOPER 40 certification.Forklift certification preferred.Demo, Environmental Experience.Ability to obtain OSHA 40 certification if not already held.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in various locations including Lawrence, Haverhill, Manchester, and surrounding towns within a 45-minute radius. The role involves working outdoors, often in challenging weather conditions, and requires adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
