Job Description
Join one of Charleston's premier civil site contractors as a Heavy Equipment Operator. This role offers the opportunity to work in various civil site locations within the Greater Charleston Area, allowing you to be home every night with minimal travel requirements. Candidates will be part of a team dedicated to completing projects successfully, with opportunities to contribute to manual labor tasks as needed.
ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy equipment such as dozers, track hoes, excavators, motor graders, skid steers, and loaders.Assist with manual labor tasks, including shoveling, trench work, and loading/unloading supplies.Collaborate with team members to ensure project completion.Perform fine grading and excavation tasks.Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety protocols.Essential Skills5+ years of experience with heavy equipment operation, including dozers, excavators, backhoes, and graders.Experience in fine grading.Proficiency in GPS technology.Ability to work in various weather conditions.Additional Skills & QualificationsFlexible availability, including willingness to work overtime and weekends.Reliability and punctuality.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Ability to pass a drug test.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
