**Job Title: Heat Treat Lead** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Heat Treat Lead to oversee a team of 1-4 employees within the same department on an assigned work shift, ensuring safety and efficiency. This role involves managing heat treat operations, ensuring furnace accuracy and uniformity, maintaining necessary paperwork, and moving parts on and off pallets. **Responsibilities** + Oversee a team of 1-4 employees on assigned work shifts. + Load and unload furnaces, ensuring process accuracy and uniformity. + Maintain paperwork, logs, records, and files related to heat treat processes. + Read and interpret shop order instructions, specifications, and verbal instructions. + Operate gas flow levers, light flames, and adjust mixtures for desired outcomes. + Guide flames along workpieces to heat and expand metal for specified straightness. + Place workpieces into heating furnaces for specified durations. + Assist with on-the-job training for the heat treat department. + Schedule heat treat production loads. + Conduct furnace probe checks and hardness inspections. + Understand and apply company procedures and work instructions. + Maintain a safe and organized workstation, adhering to all company policies and safety procedures. **Essential Skills** + Experience in heat treat and production lead roles. + Knowledge of metal forging and mechanical processes. + Proficiency with computer systems and hand tools. + Ability to read and interpret simple instructions and correspondence. + Capability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED required. + Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. **Work Environment** The role is situated within a manufacturing environment and requires working on the 3rd shift from 9:00 PM, Monday onwards. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic workplace that values safety, teamwork, and continuous learning. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
